Glaze Raku Workshop - CANCELLED DUE TO DROUGHT
Learn the exciting & dynamic process of how to raku fire your pottery! We will show how to carefully remove your pot from the Raku Kiln and place it into a can prepared with combustables. The best part is you get to take your pieces home the same day! Glazed Raku pots are decorative only and are not water tight or food safe. We can not run the raku kiln in the rain. Please be sure you can attend the alternate dates if we have to reschedule the workshop due to rain. Alternate Rain Dates: 1/26 or 2/1.
Requirements: 2 Bisque pots (maximum 6"Wx6"Dx12"H) made from a groggy clay like BMix with grog or Orion Stout, ready to glaze at least 2-3 days before the workshop. Be prepared and start early, you can always hold onto your bisqueware pots. Prep emails will be sent out two weeks prior to the workshop day. We cannot guarantee the weather, please make sure the alternate date will work for you as well.
