Class Level: Beginner
Course Duration: 5 weeks
Time: Mondays, 9 AM - 12 PM

Learn the beautiful art of wheel throwing from one of our experienced teachers, in a very small class setting with low teacher to student ration. Throw and trim your pots on the pottery wheel. Basic tools are provided to each student. Unlimited access to studio and reclaim clay during the duration of the class. Coming in to practice is strongly recommended!
Class Itinerary:
Week 1: Centering and pulling cylinders
Week 2: studio tour, trimming, more throwing
Week 3: Throwing and shaping techniques
Week 4: Trimming all pots, a little handbuilding if time permits
Week 5: Glazing
Our classes are intended for adults only, but we accept teens 14 years or older. Classes that do not reach the minimum enrollment of 3 students a week prior to the class may be cancelled or rescheduled. In this event, any registered students will be contacted and can choose to transfer to another class if the delay conflicts with their schedule.
Bring a medium-sized towel to lay across your lap. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Tie long hair back and cut long nails short.
There are no make-up classes, and the first and 4th week are mandatory to attend.
Please Note: If you are buying the class for someone else, please add their name and email address in the notes.
