Typical 6 Week Wheel Class
Week 1 (3hrs) Mandatory:  Wheel Throwing Demo - The first week will be 3 hours long so you can become acquainted with the studio, its processes, and learn to throw your first pots. Every session after the first week will be 2 hours.
Week 2 (2hrs) Mandatory: Trimming Demo - You will learn to trim pots thrown week 1 to achieve a good foot rim and even walls. More throwing if time permits.
Week 3 (2hrs):  Trimming,Throwing, and Shaping - Shaping will be introduced once you are able to pull a cylinder with ease. Mastering cylinders is our ultimate goal for you because they are the starting point for most wheel thrown pots.
Week 4 (2hrs): Class Project - Each Beginner series will have special project that is either wheel thrown or handbuilt.
Week 5 (2hrs):
Trimming/Waxing - Open Studio privileges will end with this class. You will trim your final pots so they can be fast track for bisque firing. You will also gather all your pots bisqueware (fired pots thrown over the previous weeks) and prepare them with wax resist for the final class.
Week 6 (2hrs):  Glaze - You will gather & wax all remaining bisqueware pots, then learn to apply glaze.  10-14 day later your finished pottery will be ready for pickup.
